Just after Ghana’s President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ordered the lockdown of three cities and two townships, as he announced a series of strict measures to control the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in the country.
Klagons.com decided to take a tour in and out of lapaz, one of the hottest areas in Accra to find out how the community is preparing for the lockdown.
We toured markets, super markets and everything was awesome. We also toured some pharmacies to find out the kind of medicines people are buying for protection.
Interestingly, we were told that, market really went well on Saturday because there was shortage of some pregnancy control pills and condoms.
We couldn’t believe the news we were told at the pharmacy so our team decided to focus on other shops and find out if they have also experienced shortage of pregnancy control pills.
We went to almost four shops and with joy on the pharmacy attendants faces, we knew what the answer to our questions was.
This brought a total shock to us, it seems most people are not really taking the virus serious but prefers to stay safe whiles locked down in their homes.
Guys lets stay safe this period! Remember to was your hands often and also use hand sanitizers as often as possible.
