Following a long wait for NDC’s flagbearer, former President John Mahama to choose a running mate, he finally did. The former President has chosen former Education Minister Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as his running mate for the 2020 elections.
Prof Jane Naana’s appointment has been a major breakthrough in gender parity as it is the first in the history of Ghana’s politics.
Ghanaians thus expressed their pleasure in Mahama’s choice of a woman as his vice.
Enough is known about Prof Jane Naana as a politician and acamedician but not much is known about her personal life.
Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang was born on November 22, 1951. She is a Fante and she comes from Komeda in the Komenda/Edina Eguafo Abirem in the Central Region.
